Our Story

Navina began with a search for a birthday gift for my mom.

My mom grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mesa, Arizona. I was born in Phoenix and raised in Dallas. Growing up, most of what I knew about Native American jewelry came from her collection. I loved playing with the jewelry she had from Arizona.

For as long as I can remember, she talked about wanting a squash blossom necklace. It was something she loved but never felt comfortable spending that much on for herself. As her 70th birthday approached, I wanted to find one for her.

As I searched for her necklace, I fell in love with Native American jewelry myself. I began looking more closely at the craftsmanship and the hallmarks that could help me learn about the artists. I wanted to understand the pieces and the people who made them.

That curiosity is at the heart of Navina. I choose pieces that speak to me, with an appreciation for the artists and craftsmanship behind them. My hope is that you’ll find something here you’ll love for a lifetime.
